Overview

The unique functionality of the WinOcular software engine revolves around the way that it manages the storage, organization, query and reporting of images and files.  WinOcular saves external files into its own BLOB and encapsulates the images and files into specialized record attachments called Objects.  Each Object record includes the object itself and associated fields of information. 

Objects can be scanned documents, HTML forms, Windows application files (i.e. Excel, Word, Power Point), computer report files (COLD), .PDF, digital video, audio, images, etc.

• Each WinOcular Object is actually stored in its native format.  By preserving the files (Objects) in their native format, WinOcular remains compatible with all of your existing programs and applications.

• The High-Volume Capture and Scanning software features “batch” scanning functions, OCR (Optical Character Recognition), ICR (Intelligent Character Recognition) and Bar Code recognition to automatically insert information directly into data fields, among other tools that streamline the high-volume, high-accuracy scanning tasks.   

One of the most exciting features of WinOcular is the ability to search and find the information that you’ve stored.  With all WinOcular products, the information is always just a mouse click away.  Simply choose the fields, enter the strings of data to search on, and instantly retrieve a list of images, documents and related information.  Select any of the associated objects to then view, print or email it as desired.  Plus, your search queries can be saved for later use by yourself or others!

To enhance your data mining capabilities, you can include Word-In-Text search functions.  Simply use the built-in OCR/ICR functions during scanning to build a text record associated with the scanned image.  You can do the same with all other Objects. 

This advanced technology provides you with the ultimate in flexibility. All of your files are organized and categorized plus you can easily search for ALL ASSOCIATED OBJECTS using not just a field-based lookup, but the actual contents of all documents and files as well!  This powerful data mining technology provides you with information and insight you never thought possible.

WinOcular products also feature advanced Data Storage Management (DSM), making them uniquely well suited for high-end storage requirements including: hard drives, DVD, CD, and Storage Area Networks (SAN).  WinOculars’ ability to define unique volume size maximizes DVD and CD storage and our DVD-RAM/DVD-ROM and CD-R jukebox enhancements ensure the scalability necessary to handle mission-critical, high volume archival storage.
