Gathering, Organizing and Maintaining the Data You Require for the Highly Qualified Analysis The Employee Portfolio and Evaluation Software is designed to streamline a detail-oriented, information intensive process. To do this, the software has been designed to import as much data as possible. We work with each State Department of Education to achieve a uniformity of data sets - and then customize the software to adhere to the unique rubric of each state. Additional information is then imported from each Districts' HRMS and payroll systems. Wherever possible, we automate processes to save you time and increase the accuracy of the data.
Documentation and Evidence required for NCLB and HOUSSE Evaluations Districts must be able to prove to parents, the State and the Federal Government that the activities, methods and documentation used by their employees to earn highly qualified status were objective and valid. At any time it might be required to provide proof of validity for any activity used to earn the highly –qualified status. This means two things: First, you need to document who accepted each claim as being valid and, Second, You need to track a huge amount of paperwork, files and documentation for each employee –the only logical option is paperless office technology. The Employee Portfolio and Evaluation Software manages all of this –ensuring that you’re ready for every contingency.
Here's how it works: Each State is developing (or has already developed) a Rubric of activities that describe a well-rounded, highly qualified teacher. Categories of review:
Within each category there are a number of activities, each with varying point values, as well as a maximum point value. When the total score from each category equals or exceeds the State mandated minimum score, the teacher is defined as Highly-Qualified using HOUSSE alternative NCLB evaluation. The HOUSSE software allows teachers, or approved district employees to enter all the activities, upload or scan documentation as evidence, verify that documentation and approve or decline each activity. Finally, the reports and analysis software provide the tools necessary for Parent notification, State and Federal reporting. |
