Server

A Windows operating system is required for the SQL based batch catalog:

• Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 2
• Windows NT Server 4.0 with Service Pack 6a or higher

Kofax recommends that all server components are installed on the same computer, however if necessary, you can install the server file components on a non-Windows operating system:

• Novell NetWare
• Any server platform that maps itself as a drive letter to a Windows desktop

• 128 MB of memory
• 200 MB of disk space or higher for installation and working space during processing
• 1024 x 768 SVGA display with 16 bit color, small fonts
• Parallel port: Required for Ascent Capture hardware key and Enhanced bar code hardware key
• USB Port: For optional RecoStar Pro hardware key
• NIC: 100 MB
