500-Page ADF, Continuous Feed and Double Feed Detection
For the ultimate in flexibility, the 500-page duplex document feeder supports paper sizes as small as 2.9" x 2.9" and as large as 11" x 17". For smaller batches, the ADF can also be configured to a more manageable 250-page capacity. To improve productivity, the dual CCD's scan both sides at once while the automatic page-end detection saves file space. The infrared document double feed detection reduces downtime by alerting the user of a document misfeed. In addition, the fi-4860C can accommodate up to 10,000 documents daily, making it a venerable workhorse for your business.

Standard Color Dropout
The fi-4860C comes with a slew of advanced features for monochrome or grayscale output including color dropout, automatic page size detection and document deskew. Easily configured through the scanner's control panel or software configuration, the fi-4860C can automatically dropout red, green or blue. It's dual CCD's can be configured to drop out different colors on the front and back with just one setting, no lamp changes required. The fi-4860C also features new grayscale-based image enhancement functions that include automatic page size detection and document deskew, which will enable you to feed mixed batches of documents reliably.
